please know that you already have what you need to carry out the work of God’s Shalom. Please know yourselves now as anointed, blessed and sent by the Spirit to bring healing and wholeness of your communities.
Take now the authority as Ministers of Shalom, to preach the Gospel at all times (using words when necessary): proclaim freedom to the captive, recovery of sight to the blind, healing for the broken‐hearted, and relief for the oppressed, in the spirit of Jubilee.
We give our thanks and praise to God who has called you, as faithful servants, to the ministry of Shalom. We pray that the Spirit of God will guide you in your steps, protect you on the way, and support you in your works.
We give thanks and praise to Almighty God, who has called us to seek the Shalom of the community where we have been sent.
We commit ourselves to work for the common good within our communities, across cultural and religious boundaries, bound by a vision of the world as God intends.
We open ourselves to God’s transforming power which comes through relationships as we learn how to work together.
Strengthen us, O God, to be faithful to your will and to your way.
Empower us to be a prophetic witness in our community, to become what we are called to be.
